Felipe Romero

Felipe Romero joined Daniel Shanfield Immigration Defense, P.C., as a Law Clerk in October of 2019. His law experience in includes several areas in the immigration law field: family immigration, naturalization, non-immigrant visas, asylum and removal defense. Felipe has a strong passion for protecting immigrant rights and helping clients navigate through the ardous United States immigration system.
Felipe path into immigration law started in 2010 when He started working at the Los Angeles Immigration Court as a student clerk. It was here were Felipe learned the ins and outs of immigration litigation. Prior to going to Law School, Felipe worked for two immigration law firms as a File Clerk and then as a Legal Assistant.
Felipe received his J.D. and a certificate in Public International Law from Santa Clara University, School of Law. Felipe also studied abroad while attending Santa Clara University, School of Law, studying International Criminal Law in The Hauge and Public International Law, Human Rights Law, and Humanitarian Law in Geneva. In his second year at law school Felipe worked with a team in Santa Clara’s Human Rights Clinic to create and submit a List of Issues to the United Nations Human Rights Committee that informed the committee of the human rights violations perpetrated by the United States Government at the southern border.
In December of 2020 Felipe was provisionally admitted to the CA State Bar. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Santa Clara County Law Raza Lawyers Association. Felipe is dedicated to fighting for immigrant rights, for keeping families together and ensuring our clients receive the immigration benefits afforded to them.
